My girlfriend has invited me to her place for Xmas. I don't have a lot of money but want to give her a lovely present because I love her. I'm thinking of giving her a veneered jewellery box that I made myself - it's one of the nicest things I've ever made. Would this be a good present?

It's a nice thought, but if you didn't make it specifically for her, then it might look like you just grabbed some random thing off your shelves and wrapped it. Can you make her one of her own?
