How have people approached you/ vice versa?

Hi to all, im interested in knowing how you've been approached by the opposite gender/ how have you approached someone? Did it work? Any corny catchphrases? Just to see and compare the results. ^^

Usually and always I was approached in pubs, clubs and nightclubs. I'm a female in my 30's. I think that over here in the UK, approaching in pubs, etc is the main way to approach - probably because for the 'working class' such as myself, the nightclub, club, pub is where we do most of our socialising, wouldn't you agree? Mind you, I don't frequent them these days, so I'm not getting approached like I used too. But they are where I spent most of my late teenage/early 20's years, as a lot of teens and younger people do these days.

If you are a 'toff' as in middle class or upper, then you may approach in different ways. At a Royal wedding perhaps, or the Changing of the Guard....lmao

As for how I approach, I don't. I just make my interest known.

Thinking about it though, I may have been approached and not even realised it. Like I get a lot of guys stop me in the street and ask for directions, but I'm kinda cautious of strangers and I'm giving them directions while scurrying off at same time, lol.

Fearless, confident, warm, focused, friendly, out going. One time a dude just make eye contact with me and then in an instant warmly took both my hands and openly told me "gosh you are so cute!" " like OMG you are such a babe!" Now this guy wasn't really good looking, had red hair and was wear in a light brown corduroy blazer....not something I'm attracted to. But I tell ya his actions just swept me off my feet.

When I approach I make eye contact first. If I see him taking another look I go right over and start chatting him up. Why just sit there and wait, when it's way easier for women to make the move.

One time a guy followed me from class two days in a row for several blocks. I knew he was following me, and was terrified because a classmate of mine was abducted and murdered in the area the year before. When he finally called out to me and asked me out, I was so relieved that he wasn't trying to kill me that I said yes even though he wasn't my type in any way. Then I dated him for nearly a year.

I find that in general, the get to know her as a friend and gradually make your interest known approach is quite endearing.
Since my divorce, I have met guys on dating sites. I think that there the best approach is complimentary and straightforward. If a guy approaches me and says something nice about my profile and tells me a little about himself, he will at least get a chance for us to talk a bit and see if there is a spark. My current bf saw me as a match one a pay site (where I had not paid,so I never knew he responded to me) and then recognized me on a different (free) site as the same girl. I was flattered that he made the connection, plus I liked his direct, confident manner.
