no shit, man. i was concurring with fras on that. i think it becomes pretty obvious how worthless education is when it becomes part of the competition to have 12-16 years of it behind your belt to get a job at the mac. i've considered dropping out of college so many times because of that alone. i'm sure a lot of people have, in which case, maybe education's value will somehow improve. now there's a thought worth meandering over.

Yes, it is worthless for that. But I'm not at university to get a job right now, I'm attending because I like what I'm studying.

me too. i actually have enough practical knowledge to do cb assembly and prototyping and that kind of work (also server management and web management, which i have 5+ years experience with) i do this in my free time and occasionally as freelance work. i also have a lot of experience working with radios as dispatch and working on a pilot license!

i study etymology and literature, at uni, though. i enjoy it very much, but it gets stressful in the last month and i tend to get pessimistic about it then. especially when it conflicts with one of my projects. i was eager to get finals out of the way so i could continue on my russian-german etranslator project. this semester in particular really sucked, though; i ended up having mono as i left from europe in the summer and all the way up until mid-october, and missed a lot of class and had late assignments turned in etc.. somehow managed to pull all As and one B though.
