Does he like me?

I think one of the guys in my class this semester might like me, he:
1. likes to give me high fives
2. always steals glances at me
3. has started complementing things (ie. i like your boots)

Is he just being nice or does he have a "thing" for me? This started when I sat near him in class.

He very well could. From the information you gave, he might be interested. I think the real test is when you observe his beware with other girls. Does he act in that manner with everybody? Or just with you? If so, maybe find a way to talk about a common interest. Trust your gut too, sometimes you just know.
I think it would also be helpful to know a general age range of you and this guy, so someone can give you the best advice.
