Reading up on seduction/sarging/picking up women

So I've found out that my ex has been reading up on how to seduce women, how to pick up women. I've also heard that he lives for seducing women... It's all come to a bit of a shock to me, and kind of makes sense as to why he broke up with me as he'd rather do this than be in a relationship.

Anyway, my point is... How normal is it for guys to do this? To read up on how to seduce women, and to basically dedicate his time to going out nearly every night and pick up women?

I'd say it was a guy who feels he doesn't have much success with women, who is the one likely to read all that crap.

If he's having to go out every night, then he aint having much success....lmao

I'm pretty sure he is successful, he's a very good looking guy. and i don't think he goes out every night...

It just seems that he is now dedicating his life into becoming a pick-up artist... is every guy like this?? do pick-up artists avoid relationships?

i guess i'm being really naive, i just didn't think he was like that that is why i am shocked.

No. Not every guy is like that.

Some want to be, and some loath guys like that.

However in the bar/club scene they are they guys that are most prevalent and so that is what you see.

Why would he need books then and if he's 'already' successful in picking up women?

I'd say he had a need for attention and demands his ego boosted constantly...

Doesn't everyone? Don't we all look to other outlets of making ourselves feel better? . Reading, especially on dating strategies, probably makes him feel Upgraded. I think its totally normal.

I have never in my life read about about getting picked up, how to pick up or how to present myself better to get picked up. So no, you'd be wrong.

Some guys can be. Depends on their goals. If they don't want a realtionship, but want to get some regular tail, then pick up artist it is.

You don't have to be a PUA or a wannabe to read a book on seduction. I've read a love of books about sex and seduction. That's why I'm good at what I do.
