Another Story About a guy falling in Love with His Female Best Friend

Ok her comes the long story: I met this girl in High School ( our Junior year) and been best friends ever since. we Been best Friends for almost 11 years. I know we are well in the " Friend Zone". We do almost everything together or use to, till she got a new job and started to do this traveling thing, where she is home every 90 days. She's had around 2 boyfriends that i remember, since we started hanging out. which neither of them lasted more than 9 months or less because they were jealous of me. i buy her things, take her out to movies, go out to eat ( just the 2 of us) when she is home and before she left the 1st time. I am scared that im in what they call that "friend zone" and cant get out! i am really falling for her more then i ever have.

Now her and i planned a trip for me to go out to see her. (her idea) 4 hour plane ride, just so you know its not the next city over or anything. actually leaving out tomorrow, but just got wind that she has a quote, unquote boyfriend. i should just man up and let her know how i feel, but i dont know, kinda scared of hurting our friendship. this kinda through a damper in my plans, any suggestions???? help needed in Mississippi

I would tell you to just ask her out on a "date" or to ask her if she could see dating you or whatever, but she's currently taken. Your risk of rejection is a lot higher now because of that. And if nothing has happened over the 11 years that you've been friends, it's likely not going to happen. Especially if she's lost boyfriends because of you. You would think that would have maybe made her realize she had feelings for you, but she didn't, so she probably doesn't now.

But I mean, if you're at the point where if you don't try something, your brain will explode, then go for it. Good luck. Hope it works out for you.
