this conversation is completely pointless because we are both speaking from two different point of views.

I am NOT talking from a legal point of view. I am talking about the REALITIES of a psychiatrist hitting on his own patients while at the same time trying to treat them for mental illness. This conversation is pointless because your point of view lacks any substance. Is it the horny doctor's point of view? Is that where you're coming from?
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.
my point of view comes from experience and your reality is either legal or idealistic. which is fine, i am not the one to judge or call you stupid or a moron.

^^^ This doesn't matter if he wrote it on a post it note, sent her flowers, or told her in a "sweet" way.
It's COMPLETELY WRONG, inappropriate and unprofessional to hit on a "Client" when the client HAS:
-come to you for mental help: not physical satisfaction.
Obviously this man has fantasized about her in what she wears focusing on her looks rather than her issues: CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
Now, if you talk to a dance instructor: it's not the same thing. Why?
You're not PAYING them to listen to your problems/for them to fix them/assist with them.
You are paying to learn how to dance or to learn new moves or for exercise.
so my friend. a nurse, a female, asked her patient out on a date. now they are married with two kids. is that also wrong?

Who is single? You know what goes on in my personal life? Wow, you are psychic, ripe with foresight and esteemed intellect!
At first: it was definitely a breach of trust and a conflict of interest HOWEVER: look at the facts...
The patient: wanted the doctor at some point AND welcomed their advances. This when 2 consenting adults CHOOSE to violate
ethical principles is 100% totally fine to do. If I steal a pen from my employer...Will I go to jail? Nope. But was it wrong? Yes.
Most people cheat in life.
They USE the matter of convenience (allowing the other person to do all of the leg work) in getting to know someone (could be a patient OR a Dr.) when their
profession naturally calls for face to face interaction with the other person. Naturally the client confides in the authoritative figure and tells them personal things.
The Dr. can use this to his advantage to make the connection: because the client naturally already said much of who she is: what she likes freely or when asked...
When it comes to medical knowledge, definitions and practice, YES they do. They went to school for many years when all is said and done: they've earned it.
Not when it comes to other things they either haven't studied OR: have yet to "experience." They don't know everything.
While I find prayer doesn't work: either the Doctors are batting 1,000 at improper diagnosis' OR? They don't know about spirituality and the meta physical.
Hence they do not know it all. Not to mention some things *common sense and personal intuition* cannot be taught.
Book smarts doesn't = street smarts nor does it = higher intelligence.
i'd argue about higher intelligence
