When I used to instant message I would keep myself hidden from other people so it still looked like I was still offline just so I didnt have to talk to anyone. If you started talking to her everytime she got online it is possible shes hiding herself. But it could be a number of reasons so dont blame yourself.

Thats awesome! If shes asked you out to lunch then whatever you're doing is right. Have a nice lunch with her and do what feels right. Just dont throw yourself at her lol ;P

Sorry to bump an old thread. So, i said that she asked me out for lunch in my last post. We have not had lunch together yet till today and i asked her to have lunch with me today. She said she will need to ask her parents first since the venue we are going is a bit far (about an hour). She also asked if there's anyone else is going with us... Does this mean its over?? =C

Why choose a restaurant so far away? She's feeling uncomfortable being alone with you. I wouldn't say its game over yet, try to be understanding of how shes feeling. You might want to talk about it saying something like "If that makes you feel uncomfortable we could go somewhere more casual.."
Maybe she was only going out with you as a friend and she expected somewhere like taco bell or something.. If she tells you no cuz her parents said no its probably an excuse because you pushed the limit too far.
