Hi Cbee- (And everyone) I've been meaning to update this thread. Yes, I'm very happy to report that things are continuing to go extremely well. We have so much in common, it's amazing. We've both been hurt a lot before and I feel we now have the maturity to help and appreciate each other. Just last night, we made flight reservations for a vacation in the Gulf of Mexico in a few weeks, should be fun.

I think that my original post was out of my fear of my feelings for her. Wow, things happened SO fast when we met, (instant connection from the first date) when I least expected it. Despite dating other women (quite a bit actually, but it all went nowhere) I had been alone for so long that without realizing it, I became commitment phobic.

She does have her emotional side, but I'm learning to deal with it. Heck, nobody's perfect and like several have said here, she had the guts to tell me her problems up front.

She's wonderful, everything I want. Kind, attentive, loyal, smart, did I mention beautiful? (Inside and out) I'll take this as far as it goes, despite my past failures. It's SO difficult to put the past behind and realize that the new person in your life should not have to pick up the tab for what others have done to you. Maybe that's the core challenge in any new realtionship.
