I am looking for valentine-girl and thinking may be i should try going to a nightclub in coming weeks to get a girl. Though I have been to nightclubs many times, always busy in drinking, and never approached a girl asking for dating or one-night-stand. Have you guys? any specific techniques except traditional "offering her a drink" thing to get a girl.

Girls could also participate here letting us know about how they come prepared looking for guy in a club

ahh clubs. they're quite fickle really, most guys that ask for my number never get in touch again, but im not that bothered cos i've normally got beer goggles on. but dont go in a club purposely looking for a girl, just be yourself

What is it you're looking for, a long term partner or a one night stand? If you're looking for a long term partner, forget the nightclubs, look elsewhere.

however, if it's a casual fling, or a one night stand, then just be yourself! Get talking to a girl you like and be interesting! I cant really advise you on anymore as I dont do one night stands or anything like that, but good luck.

ok for get what the guys just said about being yerself....those r the guys who aren't getting any...u were yerself for the past how many years??? did that get u anywhere?? no.....so this what u do aite....don't offer drinks or any shit like that...c'mon all the guys do that and u should b the one thats different...well this might sound a little corny, firstly don't get high, have a beer and the bottle should be held at 'her' breast level while talking to her, trust me then start scoping around....if u find a girl constantly staring at u, make eye contact.....if u can't look her in the eye, look at her eyebrows, don't be 2 interested...some girls just enjoy looking without anything actually happeneing.....ok then walk upto her, and just say, i'm sure every guy here and his 9 drunk friends, have hit on u, and since i think ur amazingly beautiful, i just wanted to know what u were like....u c u have to give her the impression that ur not hitting on her, that will get her thinking, coz u aren't hitting and well she'll try harder to notice u!! well once u strike up a conversation don't b too clingy, get her no. and tell her u'll call her, and then leave, show her that u came to have fun with ur friends too, not just cling onto her alone, that would make u look like a loser....well the rest is in yer hands dude, i wish u luck.....if u need any more advice let me know...and remember be confident and don't have too many beers, not yet!!!

I agree with this. If being yourself hasn't worked yet, why continue?

To clarify, we're not saying to change WHO you are, but rather maybe some minor changes to appearance or how you go about doing/saying things.

knightlionheart's idea sounds good. Yesterday night my eyes were locked up with a girl sitting little distance from me, but she was with her friends. Damn! next time i am gonna go and talk to the girl i like, and probably use knightlionheart's technique too

Girls love it when you would just come up and talk to them. Don't use some crappy pick-up line. Just go up and say: "hi" and then "I'm ______, what's your name?" then say something else and just make it up. Eventually, if she runs out of a drink or dosn't have one, offer to buy one for her. Always give compliments, such as you look nice, etc. Don't lie thou, if you don't think she looks nice, then don't say anything. If she ignores you when you go up to her, then move on to someone else. You don't always have to pick the hottest girl in the place.
