    Second date troubles

    Hey guys,

I have no trouble picking girls up, usually at a bar or a party, and I really can relate to them very well. I'm a good looking guy and I've been with plenty of girls and I have been in many relationships. Lately, though, I seem to be having trouble maintaining any type of relationship that lasts longer than 1 date. Usually we're pretty drunk and wind up back at my place, and I think things are going really well. I never force myself on anyone, and I try to be as smooth as possible. I even cooked one girl breakfast after she slept over. Still, everytime I try to set up a second date they either dodge me or just act like my friend and make it really hard for me to make a move.

Now, I'm talking to two girls I picked up this weekend and I'm trying to make it last past one date with at least one of them. They are both gorgeous. One of them seems like a real bookworm, though, cause when I called her for the first time she seemed really tied up with schoolwork and didn't have much time to talk. The second one I've known a little longer and I really feel like we click, so I'm trying not to rush anything and screw it up. Any suggestions on how to approach it?

It sounds like you sleep with women on the first date? Is that right? Maybe they are just looking for a one night stand. I know that meeting women in bars my not always be the place to meet someone you want a relationship with. If you want to find someone to hang with and have a good time, maybe you should think about not bringing them back to your place first. Give a little bit more mystery to it, yaknow? Women like that. Good Luck!

I'm only in High School, but from what I'm hearing, your the typical guy who likes to pick up girls and get laid (no offense intended at all...it's understandable...we'll always be "one of the guys") But that sorta implies that you have hard time staying in a relationship or you're afraid of commitment...but it's not like you can't change that. I've onlt been attracted to...2 people in my life (remeber, I'm only in High School) and it wasn't because they were good looking.

ok, if you`re shagging a girl on the first "date" then its doomed to be a one night stand.

if you're interested in an actual relationship...hold out for sex....physicially you cannot become more intimate, so you might want to let the emotional side get to know each other a little bit better before you go all the way....

if you`re looking for a relationship, then make it obvious sex isnt your goal, that getting to know her is...no worries, you'll be laid soon enough....and likely more regularly once you're there

Usually I do not sleep with the girl on the first date. In fact I hardly ever do. I like to hold out for a few dates before getting that serious with anyone. My problem isn't really physical, its more emotional. Like I'll bring a girl back to my place, we'll kiss and fool around a little, they'll sleep in my bed or something, but then we just never stay in touch. I've been burned pretty bad by some girls in the past so its hard for me to keep calling a girl if she doesnt reciprocate. I'm just looking for some advice as to how to keep these girls in my life instead of them just coming and going.
