Why is a charge nurse giving medication at all? That's what the floor nurses are for.

I had a very bad day.

i was at work, and I get a call from some man asking if __________ is my daughter, so I'm like "who are you?" It turns out he was a paramedic. He picked my daughter up off the street having a big seizure (4-5 minutes long) and was bringing her to the E.R. I ended up running back and forth between my floor and the ER to be with my kid.

She was supposed to be with her father, but apparently he was on a date, and couldn't be bothered to come home, even after he knew she was in the hospital.

Yeah, there was steam coming out of my ears. (probably still is.)

Vash I'm so sorry for you... It must have been a nightmare ehh :/ And you ex is really an asshole. Seriously asshole or a big old kiddo ... Don't understand people like this. He has a sick daugther and he doesn't give a ****. Jerk ...

I really dislike my job at the moment. Last month I got a promotion - which was great in terms of money and perks etc, but I want my old job back!! Im feeling like my head is going to explode, i have a lot of responsibilities on my shoulders and its really weighing me down, dont get me wrong, i can do all of what is asked but im just feeling the pressure to get everything right. It doesnt help that I have two people working under me that were my (equal) colleagues beforehand. They are bitter and twisted over the fact i got the promotion and they have been here years and no promotion. That is because they are two of the laziest unmotivated people i know.
Its also not helping that im having more time off than i can afford to because of poor health and having to work twice as hard when i am there.

because charge nurses give medications at nursing home... You probably work at Hospital where charge nurses do not give meds.

anyway...
3 things annoying me now.

My doctor said My Vitamind D is low (8mg/dl) a normal person is 30-100mg/dl
So I take Vit D on 50k units q week/10k daily except sat and sun
another one is that my left leg is swollen for a week now. (relieved when elevated)
