Guy says he doesnt want a relationship, then says he's been chatting to some girl from work. Next day, calls to ask me out shopping????

well...:

1. he does not want a relationship (=he says so)
2. he has been chatting to some girl (=wants to hook up).
3. he wants to go shopping with you... (=you're a friend)

you see any contradictions here...? what makes you believe what he says is not actually true? :-)

Because those are mixed signals where i come from, we were technically on a date(or so i thought) recently slept together and had been in a 5 year relationship previously...

I'd conclude now that he wants to keep you around, strictly booty call, no strings attached... unless you care to volunteer more info.

thats the thing, he knows that i want more and doesnt want to give it so i think im in the friend no sex zone now but not sure. the other day we went out and he didnt ask me in. then i think he went out that night with some girl but tried to act like he was staying in. id say the fact he kept checking his phone was a sign...so why does he want me around if were not even having sex now??
