I also felt the same that she should be adjusting to my height and do not explicitly see me as a short guy. I did the same adjustment...I felt her height (5'1") is okay (inspite of my preference for a 5'4" or 5'5" girl). 2-3 inches matter nothing for me. it is more of the personality match I look for and not for the mere height![]()
There's this girl I like and she's like 5' 10"..I'm like 5' 9" and though we're friends, I wish she looked at me in a different light..but I notice she's mostly attracted to guys taller than her. Yeah, I agree..it's leftover animalistic instinct to go for the more alpha male, which used to be the big, burly guy. But now we've evolved enough to the point where physical stature has little to do with power. Now you have to be cunning...or connected.
