    Boyfriend yawns...

My boyfriend tends to yawn a lot around me and I notice it while I'm talking. I get offended because I don't think he does it as often when he's with his friends. What do you think? Is there anything I can do so that he won't yawn so much?

Maybe he isn't sleeping well. Everyone has different biorhythms... it might just be that you tend to be around him when he is more tired.

Yawning is a method to get more oxygen to the brain. It is meant to stimulate the brain so that it can be awake and alert. So consider his yawning as a sign that he WANTS to be awake and alert mentally when he is around you.

    Good luck.

Do NOT bring this up with him. Yawning is involuntary. Even if he is bored by you (he's not), he can't control it.

If you bring it up, bad things will start to happen.

Next time, check his pulse to see if you are boring him to death. lol just kidding.

It's an involuntary respiratory response, probably having to do with the balance of CO2 and oxygen in the bloodstream. It's also a good way to open up the alveoli in the base of the lungs. He is probably more relaxed when he is with you, and therefore breathing is slowed and less deep. Don't sweat the small stuff.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Yep, my bf yawns more around me than anyone else...it just because he is totally relaxed around me. Either that or i am really fcuking boring!!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Stop taking it personally. It's not an indication of boredom, nor of fatigue necessarily. It's a physiological response to a shortage of oxygen in the bloodstream in relation to the level of physical activity.
