My definition of an intelligent girl. Are simply those that do more than club and work. i'm not joking i have never met a girl who had anything useful (and i'm not being shallow its just been an observation) to say.

Maybe ive got everything wrong, maybe intelligence is just a way for me hide/blame the fact i've not shared anything in common, and maybe i dont know what im looking for.

Well so far i've come on here looking for ideas, however now totally confused upon what im looking for ... so 'vem chanced my defensive stance and imply that i'm to deep for the humble age of 19 (oh the joy).

There are plenty of intelligent people out there. Are you confusing this with interesting? What makes YOU so interesting? Maybe you should work on this about yourself and then meeting interesting girls will soon follow. Things beyond school and work.

When I met my husband, we were both into things like sailing and scuba. We have a lot of interests besides work, but just to give the example. Its easier to complain about what isn't than to improve upon what is.

Sports Clubs!!

A girl who is commited to a sport, a team sports is good...sporty people are usually healthy and have nice credentials..they love getting up early, keeping active it's a whole attitude that nowaday comes with intelligence...being healthy, enjoying outdoors and what the world can offer without falling into easy traps like smoking (sorry...smokers), doing drugs, drinking...or any other type of addiction (food can be an addictin too)...also these girls are usually naturally fit, they therefore don''t starve themselved and have a healthy body image, comfortable in their own skin..

A lot of sports also show character...and strong will...ok all of this might not speak of academic intelligence to you but still you'd be surprised...

Online dating is not that hard - I've done it in the UK and France and it's easy peasy. And I had lots of times when I had no reply to mails which I find a bit impolite but that's life online. But dating websites are great because it gives you the chance to communicate for as long as you like before you meet in person. I've been with S for over 8 months now and we met online. She didn't even post a photo of herself but we got in touch, talked for ages online and then met up. She lives 80 miles away from me and without the 'net we would have never met. We love each other. Online dating works.

I'll second or third that online dating can work. I've been in a couple of relationships where we met off the internet. Don't give up....be persistent. Keep contacting people and you'll find someone that will respond that's looking for the same thing as you. I'm in the same boat.... tis a shame you are only 19!
