If a guy says he technically doesnt want a relationship, and you basically say you do and then think its over at that point. Why would a guy keep cntacting you on a semi regular sort of like backburner basis? Especially if you already know he's been hooking up with other people so i know he gettin some??

In this case, the guy's actions matches up with his words. He really doesn't want a relationship and wants to play the field; that is why he has been hooking up with other girls while he can also talk to you.

You pretty much said it yourself. He isn't looking for anything serious wants to see whats out there, and he is keeping you on the backburner while he does it.

It's quite simple. He likes you but doesn't want to have a relationship. Just a friend or casual dating or whatever.
