He just broke up with me but still wants to go on vacation next month!

I need some neutral advice here. We dated for a year and he quite suddenly broke up with me on Saturday saying only that he wasn't happy with the way things were going. He told me 2 days later that he still wants to go on the vacation we had planned next month together. I have paid for half of it and since I'm the one who booked I'm obligated to finish paying for it. He was going to give me the money and I don't know if he will if I tell him I'm going alone. Part of me wants to think that he needs some time and that him wanting to go away is an indication that he may want to reconcile. I don't know if I want that but I would like to keep my options open. I don't hate him and would like to at least remain friendly but am I setting myself up for something if I agree to this?

Unless you want to use it as a way to try and get back together don't go with him! I couldn't think of much worse than going on holiday with a recent ex, it will just mess your head up as you'll act like a couple without being one. There's no way you can properly enjoy yourself with all that going on.
Ditch him, take a friend instead.
