    What would you consider this...

If you've been with someone for quite a while exclusively and never thought about being with anyone else or even looking at other people the whole time you were together, then had a fight/problems and suddenly started "noticing" other people, and picturing yourself being with someone else other than your SO?

I've heard the saying "If you love 2 people, choose the 2nd. Because if you truly loved the 1st, you wouldn't have fallen for the 2nd." Would that sudden turn of events leading to you noticing other people be a sign of losing feelings for that person, or knowing that you won't last much longer?

Are you looking for a real opinion, or just to get your opinion validated?

This one is truly not even about me. I don't have a valid opinion on the matter yet.

To me, the only explanations for that situation are either you're losing feeling/attraction about that person or you're so angry at the person, you're looking for someone to get revenge with.

I just posted on here to get a wide range of opinions and what people think.

I think when we are frustrated with our current partner/situation the grass is greener syndrome can kick in. But I don't believe you should 'choose' the 2nd person. Attraction to others is normal for humans. It is what we do with those attractions that matter. I'd want to try and stick around to sort things out with my current partner if that fails I'd break it off. No one else really enters the equation for me when I am involved with someone.
Some people are drains and some are radiators... Keep clear of the drains and hug the radiators!
