Was it a bad idea to tell the guy I am very attracted to how I really felt?

I've always liked this guys since high school. I never forgot about him all these years, so when I saw him in town one day, I had to get in touch with him. We've been hanging out for over a year now, but it's long distance since we live 8 hrs. away. So, long story short... I told him that I "like" him! Plain and simple! Well, I just don't mess around with random people...i have to like them! We have great converstations, great sex and I'm cool with that! Don't really know where I stand in his life. Not asking to be his girlfriend or anything. Just wanted to know how he felt about me too.

If he's screwing you then I'm sure he at least likes you and it's obvious that you like him if you're doing that but, he might not want to be your boyfriend. (???) I don't think it's ever a bad thing to tell someone that you like them.

What is it you really want with this boy? What role would you really like to play in his life?
