What's a good period of time to just chat with a girl (as a friend) before asking them out? Is a month good?

are we talking like jr high ask a girl out meaning "will you be my gf" or like asking her on a date?? if we are talking about asking someone on i think it depends on alot. i mean i might ask someone out if i was interested and i might never see them again after just meeting them. but if you see her kinda often there is less pressure to have to do it right away. i would say whenever it gets to the point that you are sure u want to know more about that person and are pretty comfortable with them. there is no set time frame to work with. no formula. think outside the box.

Look buddy, when the time is right, you both will know. Now, in my case, if you wanted to just have a sexual relationship, one night stand, you ask them right away if they are interested. It's what I do at clubs or bars. Only thing is, I do get turned down because I am human. But most of the time it works but I only get to "scam" with her and that is it. I then ask myself, "where is the sex at? That's what I want to know". lol.

A month is no way enough.The girl I like ive known more than a year and we're still both too shy to tell each other.If its serious ,wait a long time.Believe me its worth it.
