I've been dating a man for 7 months. His son is getting married in 3 weeks. BF does not want me to go, because ex-wife will be there. She cheated and they divorced 10 years ago. He said it will be better for him to go alone due to stress, and he wants others to think about the cheating ex. What is up with that. We are not children.

Sorry to say it but .... the only reason that I would not want a woman to come with me to a family event is if I didn't think we would be together for long. Although, 7 months isn't really that long so maybe he just isn't to the level of going to weddings together yet.
