friday is the day, a little help needed though

I am interested in a woman at a place I visit once a week, she has been there about 5 weeks now. thing is I dont get much chance to have a proper talk to her, last week was the most I got to speak to her, I perhaps get a 5 min chat at most due to her work so cant get a flow so to speak, I paid her a compliment saying she looked smart that day and she said so I dont usually look smart (poss playing with me) so I said I couldnt beleive she asked me my dogs name and not mine, to which she replied he is cute, i said that was harsh jokingly and she said we were quits (all in fun), later I looked at her and she looked back for a few seconds smiling then looked away and brushed her hair off her face which in all honesty could have been in the way but might have been unconscious flirting.I have thrown out a couple of flakey lines to test the water but the thing is now I want to be more direct and was thinking of giving her my card and telling her if she fancied a drink sometime to call me. I know a coffee is more non commital but is it better sometimes to make it loud and clear so to speak? I feel as it is a week between seeing her each time I should make the move more positively and think she is probably waiting for a proper question, friday is going to be the day, what i would like to know is is there a complimetary line to give her with my number that isnt flaky or weak?

Sounds kind of like she was flirting. I don't think you should give her your card and have her call you, though. That puts all the pressure on her, and basically none on you. So I think you should ask her if she's free Saturday night and if she says yes, then get her number. Then you can pay her a compliment along the lines of, "Great, I'm looking forward to it. See you then."

Thank you fro your reply, MerryH, we spoke today and I found out she has a b/f who lives around 150miles away who she is visiting this weekend after not seeing for 3 weeks as he has been on holiday. I said it must be hard and she said it felt more like friend as they were so far apart, I said it might be time to call it a day and she said maybe, I feel she is interested in me but it is early days and she is obviously finding thing difficult with her b/f. I was thinking of stepping back a little and just asking her if she wanted to meet up for a coffee sometime something no pressure so we can get a good chance to talk, we both are from different backgrounds and seem to get on well and I would love to get to know her better and am willing to step back a little to allow things to develop as I feel she really is worth it. Any pointers would be great hereI dont want to be the reason they split I would prefer her to come to that conclusion herself and I wouldnt want to be a rebound relationship.
