Does he love me back?

Hi there,
I'm really confused. I've fallen in love, with a really nice boy. He's funny and nice and always makes my day when ever I see him. We've been friends now for almost half a year now.
He's in love with another girl and is not shy to say it. She's a really lovely girl and has known him for about four years now. I don't know if she loves him back or even if she knows he loves her.
Sometimes I think that he likes me back, general touching and always standing near me in crowds.
How can I know if he likes me, or if he's over the other girl?

He probably likes you, but he likes the other girl more. You know how I know this? Because HE TOLD YOU he likes the other girl. It isn't a giant game or scheme. He actually likes the other girl.

He likes the attention you give him. It flatters him. And he probably likes spending time with you. But he isn't looking to date you. He has his sights on someone else. It is time you started looking for others as potential dating partners as well.

I am not trying to sound harsh, but so often I hear people just ignoring what someone tells them because they are hoping to hear something else. This guy has flat out told you that he is interested in someone else. Gotta let this one go...
