I just dont get it

hey guys would really like some feedback
I have being going out with this guy for about 6 weeks he has always initiated meeting up trips way etc , He told me he had fallen for me big time and that he loved me within 3 weeks and has come and visited my family and i his
So Friday i get a call out of the blue saying things are not feeling right and he wants to end it
How can he seminally be in love one minute and then not
I had a pretty rough break up a year ago so it bringing up old feeling
is it just best to move on or hope he will change his mind
It was a pretty intense 6 weeks and i really enjoyed being with him i didnt love him but i was falling for him
