    Chinatown as suggested earlier would be your best bet for ideas & things to but for your party.

    it's a russian thing. we have to come up with weird ideas for parties each time. BTW I do celebrate chinese new year as well.

    Well, if you're going for "weird ideas", the last party theme being "dress black and white" and the current party theme being "dress in black" doesn't exactly cut it. Sure, you can go for the decor, but it's still uniform and nowhere as interesting as people's ideas when dressing up.

    Well, for one, why can't you just tell people to dress up in chinese/asian clothing if you want to stick with the theme?

    Went to a family feast like that once, most used elaborate patterned kimonos and such, myself I cut up a black cap, attached a braided bundle of string similar to my hair colour at the back to form a traditional queue and then just wore a chinese-style shirt and puffy kung fu pants ;P
