torn frenulum

Have any of you torn your frenulum? At least I think that's what happened.
I am early 20's, not circumcised.

I was masturbating and right as I ejaculated, I felt a tear. Initially, I didn't think much of it, but then I look down and I just see my penis dumping copious amounts of blood out. Naturally I got worried, but now after the bleeding has stopped, it looks like that little piece of skin that attaches the foreskin to the bottom of the glans separated. There was no pain or anything when I ejaculated. It just felt like a little tear.

Should I go see a doctor about this? Its stopped bleeding, and I've been looking online, but there seems to be conflicting information. So has this happened to any of you guys? What should I do?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place....it seems to be the most relevant place.

edit: Its also not a small tear, I ripped the whole damn thing off.

I'd be most concerned about scarring. And the way I know to prevent that is to apply a small amount of antibiotic cream (e.g. Polysporin) to the wound, keeping it moist and clean while it heals. If in doubt tho, check w/your doc.

Thanks for that. Gonna clean it then put some polysporin on.
I'll be going to the campus clinic tomorrow, since I have one free visit, but currently dont have health insurance...
Im just kind of worried as to treatment, as most stuff I've found is about a small tear or two on the frenulum itself, whereas Im fairly certain, I just straight up ripped it all off....

I'm not a guy, so therefore this has never happened to me, but I would honestly be seeing a doctor about this. It would be embarrassing though worth it in case something bigger is going on.

I don't think you need it. Some guys who are circumsized don't even have one. The important thing is to not let it get infected.

Indi is right - keep it clean and apply antibiotic cream to prevent infection while it heals. If you are prone to keloid scarring, I'd see your doctor. Also, next time you should use more lubricant.

If in doubt seek medical advice. BTW, happened to me once and going to a French doctor (I'm English) to show him my wounded pecker was just that teeny weeny bit embarassing. At least it improved my vocabulary because I know what the French word for foreskin is - though I"m unlikely to ever need to use the word in ordinary conversation with the neighbours.
