Does he really like me?

I am still very young, but I have special feelings for this boy in my swimming club, we do competitive swimming everyday, 3 hours a day together and I like him very much. I think he likes me too. I asked the other boys in the club what they think and they said that it's obvious that he likes me. I asked one of my friends to ask him, but whenever they ask he just changes the subject. Then everyone presses in on him and keeps asking him if he likes me. I feel sorry for the guy. Probably under lot's of pressure. Only when my name comes up though. We have each other's numbers and we talk to each other all the time, (about normal, innocent stuff) and he always looks at me. Then one night I was texting him and he asked me if I liked him. (He abreviated it : D-Y-L-M) And I figured it out. I thought that I might as well be honest with him so I told him that I did like him and he told me that He likes me back. :-) He said he was being honest but I'm still not sure if you actaully likes me. Do guys lie a lot? But somewhere deep down I feel that he is telling the truth. I want this to go further, (girlfriend and boyfriend) but He acts normal around other people in swimming because he didnt want other people to know otherwise they would pressure him again. But when were texting he's a completley different person.

I love him so much but i want the relationship to go further and i want him to get over his fear of what other poeple think about our feelings for each other.

I would say just be open - talk to him about it. He shouldn't need to be afraid if he knows how you feel about him, maybe he just needs a little help and support to feel comfortable enough to be open about it. Spend some more time together and see where it leads.
