So I have a male friend (I wouldmt say we are best friends) but we do talk a bit etc..

Recently, it was my bday, he took me out for dinner just the 2 of us.

For easter, he bought me this massive box of chocolate.

I ve never bought him anything or pay for anything of his...

Its his bday soon, he kind of jokingly said, oh so what are we doing for my bday, where are you taking me?

Do you think hes showing that he likes me more than friends? I am really confused.

We have known each other for about 1 year.

I dont really know any of his friends. I ve seen them once or twice but not really know them.

I dont know if hes juts a really kind generous person or like you said maybe he likes me more than a friend?

I did thought about saying something but i dont want to embarrass myself or him by saying something....

He likes you, but you don't? Better communicate to him that you only see him as a friend before he develops strong feelings for you. For his bday you can invite other people to come along for drinks and appies at a lounge. Seeing other people there will give him the signal that it's casual between you two. I have a feeling he is testing you to see if you feel the same way he does.....he's hoping for a home cooked candle light dinner.

You keep worrying about him. Do you have a romantic interest in the the guy or not? If so, pursue it. If not, don't waste your or his time.
