Love advice, Help please.

Hey,
Im a 24 year old male, I have had a couple of girl friends in the past but haven't worked out for the long run.
I recently attended a 1st aid course for 2 days as I am a builder,
There were quite a few people there from different work places.
Sitting next to me was a girl that I talked to a bit, and found out she knows a mate of mine.
The whole time I couldn't concentrate on the course I have never felt like this before about anyone, my heart is hurting that's how much i felt, like she was my sole mate, it seems crazy as I have only known her for 2 days.
As a guy I don't normally pick up hints but I was definitely noticing her looking at me and hanging around me even on breaks maybe I was misinterpreting?? but it was obvious? , What do I do as I will not see her again unless I contact her, As in add her on facebook or try and get my mate to get in contact, Do you think i'm being stupid or will look desperate???
I am not desperate as I do alright, but have never felt like this about any 1 before Her personality had me!! and she is easy on the eye as well, It feels like I won't meet any one else like her!
Any suggestions?

If you don't contact her then nothing's going to come of it. Just drop the soul mate crap, and get to know the girl.
