@Sixpacj, I might've sent an "I am not interested/I am aloof" body language. Actually, I think I'm pretty sure I did. I could've reciprocated interest by touching his leg or turning my face more towards him or something. But oh well, it doesn't matter anymore now that I realized this type of relationship can never work.

Well, ego protection is one thing, learning from one's mistakes is another. IMHO, relationships where one party is "aloof" and doesn't reciprocate interest seldom work. Learn from this and try not to repeat it in the future.

However, if you don't mind me saying, it is of no use making mistakes and then posting on the interwebz asking for strangers to tell you "it was not your fault". ;-)

Perhaps it's me but do all people stress about the 'status' of potential partners and wondering if they are good enough?
