He bought me a ring but hasnt given it to me yet

My boyfriend told me 4 months ago that he bought me a ring after we had a discussion about him wanting to move to alberta . I told him that we should go together as a couple and that i wouldnt accept him leaving without me even if after he said he wanted to go alone the first few months to see how things go and he didnt want to be blaimed if it didnt work out and we had to come back. I told him thats not how it works being with someone its about being there for each other and knowing you are not alone when thongs are bad. So i told him if he wanted to go alone i wouldnt take it and i dont want to be with you so you could leave me in a few months i dont want to think about that every day and wonder is today the day he will tell me he s leaving. So i told him if thats what you want to do then lets call it quits now. He then told me that he bought me a ring and that it was in his car for 2 weeks. I was touched and i asked him why he didnt give it to me. He said he was waiting for the right moment.

After a month i asked him if the ring story was true and he said yes. I Didnt say anything else. Well its been 4 months now and i still dodnt get it. I want to ask him about it it makes me only believe that either he changed gis mind or never really got one . But if it doesnt exist why would he have mentionned a ring i never talked about a ring. So im a bit cofused

If he didn't he was testing to see if it would change how you felt about him moving away. You know use it as leverage to keep you from dumping him. If he did buy one, obviously he had doubts about giving it to you, especially now that you were ready to throw in the towel so quickly.
