Privacy - How far is too far when you live together?

I have just a few questions about privacy among relationships.

I personally believe everything about yourself should not be shared, but most things - in a serious, committed relationship - should be shared.

My question is how far is too far?

    Going through internet history?

    Opening mail?

    Checking the other's phone?

    Checking their social media outlets?

These are just a few examples I'm curious about - feel free to name others.

I have been with my husband for 22 years....I look at nothing...not his emails, his phone or FB....absolutely nothing. I don't even use his computer. We know each others PWs but I have never used it unless he asks me to, to look up something for him.

When I look at porn I use "private browser".......I totally believe in respecting someones privacy unless you have a valid reason because of change in their behavior but only as a last resort if communication fails.

So IMO no it shouldn't have to be shared....if you have that much of a trust issue then you shouldn't be dating them or anyone else.

I would not snoop like that. And if you are even considering it then you have some trust issues to deal with.
