When you promise someone in your marriage vows to forsake all others then it does matter. This is not Islam where the only way a woman can get a divorce is if her husband decrees it. She could have easily left him if things were so bad. She lies about it being bad to HERSELF to justify her infidelity. BTW: If it was Islam, then she would be stoned to death for what she did.
