She was in a relationship for 3.5 years before coming to college. She is still very good friends with her ex.. She texts him a lot throughout the day. She tried the long distance relationship thing, but it didn't work. Me and her have had "breakups" several times even though we weren't boyfriend/girlfriend. We were in a way mutually exclusive even though we never declared it. Before Thanksgiving, she broke up with me because of my brother (who goes to the same college as me) got involved in our relationship. She couldn't see herself dating me with a brother who is seen as intrusive. She thinks that if she broke my heart, he would talk trash about her. I told her that the image she has of my brother is not true and she should get a chance of knowing him. She currently hates my brother. That is the main reason why she "broke up" with me. During the first day of break, she texted me and told me she felt bad because she hooked up with her ex-boyfriend (whom she once loved) and all she could think about while kissing him was me. Her ex says he still loves her. She says she is torn because she wants to feel loved (which could come through him) but she likes the closeness of me on campus. She says she is talking to her ex now to see what they want to do. She also said a little after we broke up that she may have been hiding from her feelings for me because she was falling for me but could not date me because of my brother. If she chooses me over her ex, what should I do? Any advice?
