Some advice please :)

Hi guys!

Im a 16 year old living in India and in love with a really pretty girl from school...
I spoke to her for the first time a few months ago (besides the ocasional small talk)...she sees me as a normal classmate.
Last week, we went on a camp/field trip organized by our school for 5 nights. There, i noticed that she was staring at me whenever she got the chance (making us look at each other simultaneously) for 5 seconds max.Being a really shy guy, I always looked away. Yet I also noticed that she was being a little sweeter and more polite to me...
I also have to add that I managed made A LOT of chatter with her during the camp treks (woo). This made my friend convince me to talk to her but I don't know how to do so ...Is he right? What do you guys think??

PS. (Im in christmas vacations now, BTW; so talking face 2 face is very unlikely for now)

PSS. (She broke up with a guy somewhere round June/July...She says that she is in love with him, so she might be looking for a rebound or something like that)
