When a guy calls a girl "kid"?

I'm not trying to over analyze... But what kind of nickname is "kid"? Makes me feel like a kid sister. But it's weird bc the guys that called me this have usually been romantically interested in me. Just interested in some related opinions/thoughts.

Am I the only one who would find the term 'kid' patronising? I wouldn't like it at all.

Patronizing? I guess that's where I get the little sister feeling. It's not a very romantic nickname in my opinion.

little sister....daughter.... At any rate, I can't imagine a man using that endearment towards a woman he views as equal.

That, and I would be a bit uncomfortable with seeing the term "kid" in any context involving romance/sex appeal.

You are not the Lolita type, I presume?

    ...Haven't you ever seen Casablanca?

It very well could be that they're making some sort of reference to the movie, or to Elsa if you look like her or that's your name? Just a thought.

Honestly, if a guy was classical enough to do that, I would be attracted even more.

    "Here's looking at you, kid."

I would say a girl two years younger than me that shes a kid and be protective too. But it ussualy ends up as being sexually soft and not agressive enought and thats bad cause young girls needs dick.

They are older guys... about 5 years older.
A line from Casablanca? That would be romantic.

    Lol! That made me laugh.

I think they mean in it an endearing manner, but I wouldn't really find that attractive. Unless the guy was a lot older and had a big penis. I was on a date once with a guy 1 year older than me and he kept rubbing the top of my head and ruffling up my hair...like I was his kid sister....and then asking me if he could be my part time lover. Yeah.....no thanks.
