I don't know if it will help you at all, but at this point, and given my occupation, i try to think of whether or not a person has a "good" death (meaning no pain or prolonged suffering). Also, I tend to think that seeing others die prepares us in a small way for our own eventual passing. I just pray I go before my kids, and that it happens quickly.

sorry for your loss, Im a huge believer in " things happen for a reason " as this is hard to believe when someone close dies.. but its how I usually forget bad things that occur and find a positive in something.. again seems like nonsense as I have no idea what good comes from someone passing, I have never been in your shoes, how did you friends pass away if I may ask ?

Don't know the details, just found out yesterday that he's been hiding end-stage cancer of some sort from all of us. Going to go any day now.

It's lung cancer. He's due to go any time now.
I've wept. I've railed. I'm weeping now. Such a beautiful spirit, such a wonderful musical muse. The world is darker for his (immanent) passing.

I make friends... less than readily. I've got a few core friends that are important to me. One new one. I'd rather have 10 dollars than 1000 pennies.
Still doesn't replace the old one that died yesterday.

I've had a few close friends pass away to cancer, life is sometimes cruel,
but we have to remember the memories we had when they were around.
It'll take time to get over the lose, but accepting them
for how they were, will help you cope with the pain.
I can't keep looking in the past, because it's all about the present right now.
