Guys is this a valid excuse

Boyfriend broke up with me no valid excuse
My boyfriend of 2 months just dumped me 4 days ago. Let me start off by saying that heis 21 and im 20 first relationship for me and first serious gf for him. We spent holidays together and he used to treat me like a princess took me on nice dates cooked for me respected me, and everything i can ask for. I didnt ask to get an i love you yet because i dont think it was enough time for him to fall in love because he had past relationships which didnt workout however i do love him. Last saturday we had a nice date and we were already planning for our valentines date he already had my gift and i had his. 4 days out of the blue moon he says that we should stop seeing each other because we have nothing i common and because he didnt fall in love with me note that he treated me like he did. He said that he doesn't want to hurt me more in the future and that he might end up cheating on me since he doesn't love me. The only thing that called my attention was that during the last 2 weeks he stopped texting me frequently and didnt seem he wanted to hang out with me but when we did he treated me like he always did. What could have
? He says its not my fault and that i was the best gf he ever had? On the same hand, one of our common friends told me he is sad so i dont get this? Helppp

    He might have:

    1. Rekindled a flame with an ex.
    2. Started a new flame.
    3. Has some issue he is not telling you about.
    4. Found out something about you he didn't like
    5. Just had you as a backup
    6. Was not truthful to you about how he really feels
    8. He has no respect for himself or you
    7. Many other reasons

I suggest you ask him - this will drive you crazy trying to figure out what is going on in his mind.
If he is mad at you for something then you need to find out what it is, otherwise, don't bother. Someone who has that little respect and love for you that they would just kick you to the curb and not even show you the respect of talking to you knowing you are left to deal with so many questions, are not worth it.

What matters is that 1) he doesn't love you; 2) it's over. The sooner you accept it, the sooner you'll feel better. Cut off contact entirely and move on with your life - it's just begun :-).

Him treating you well doesn't necessarily reflect his feelings. If he's not feeling it, then he's not feeling it....and ending it is the right thing to do.

Yes, it's a valid excuse. He's not fond enough of you to hold his attention to only you. Isn't it better that he ends things than string you along while not really being into you? Of course he's sad - nobody likes hurting another person - but he knows it's not working for him.

Oh, and a 2 month relationship is NOT serious yet. Serious is when you've gotten to know each other (a year or more) and mutually decide that you can see a future together. Please, for your own sake, don't take fledgling relationships seriously. Give them time to prove themselves.

Sorry to hear that you were dumped seemingly out of the blue . There is no "valid" or "invalid" excuse for breaking up with someone, not wanting to be with someone for whatever reason is enough. If it really is bothering you, perhaps you could ask him *once* what made him decide to end things to see if he can give you some sort of closure...but even then you may not get a real answer other than that it's just not working for him. Either way, cutting contact is the best way to move on and it lets you retain your dignity.
