me and this girl had a really strange breakup a little over a year ago, i randimly ran across her pf on a dating site we both happen to be on and we've been talking for the past week or two and we're going to hangout sometime in the near future. this girl, that relationship, has stood as something great that never got a chance really get started. any tips for getting her back?

well we were dating for a couple months and things started to get serious and she quit, then her brother died and that really just fcked her up, and a few weeks after that i stopped contacting her

Just start from zero. Its been a long time and you have a chance to not repeat the same mistakes again. Seriously it would be much better to go from the start without the pressure or expecting better atitute because of the past. I would actually introduce myself(say my name) at first date just for fun.

Mike if she wanted you back she would have wanted to already. It was over a year ago, she has moved on. You can't force someone to rekindle something that didn't work out in the first place.
