This is not for me, its for a friend.

His GF's father passed away a 2 weeks ago, and she been crying all the time. And his thinking of leaving her, his reasoning being, he is not at fault here, he should've have to put up with her emotional burden, He could find a girl with less problems. His thinking of ending the relationship tomorrow, I've also recommended this course of action, based on deductive reasoning.

Can anyone see any other factors that he hasn't considered already in defence of not ending the relationship?

Well, I think if he actually loves her then that would be a good reason not to end the relationship. If he's just in it for the goodtimes and the sex, then what's the point of hanging around? However: Your timing couldn't be more cruel.

One would think that if you.. er.. he gave her a kind shoulder to cry on, if he gave her a suitable period of time to mourn the loss that eventually, she'd come around to being who she was when she was more fun.
