This is an interesting approach I never would have thought of... lol *files away in the brain for if I ever have a serious boyfriend*

To be honest, OP, ask yourself why you're with him. Are you with him because of how you feel around him or how he looks in clothes? If it's the former that's the answer, then I believe it shouldn't really matter what you think of his clothes. But otherwise, all I can really say is that you need to really assess your situation and relationship if it matters to you so much and you're focused on his looks...no offense. That's just one person's view- whatever you do or think is up to you. Best of luck

Just be straight up about it. One thing i learned is that you have to sometimes be that way with men. They have no problem telling you if you don't look right or their wants, needs, likes/dislikes. So as a woman I do the same. Thank God, I never dated a tacky dressing guy. I have dealt with guys that style themselves really well like they are very good coordinators, same with some women. They know how to pick and put togther their clothes well and the others they still looked very good and decent so I couldnt complain. I cant deal with a guy that dont dress decent. I dont mind if they not dressed up all the time if they are in chill mode. I actually like that but for you to be cheesy or raggidy. No. And you better not have on beat up, raggidy shoes. Smh.

No, it's not shallow. Instead, your shoes tell us a lot about your personality. http://madamenoire.com/193430/check-his-footwork-what-his-shoes-say-about-him/

This is a cutting edge scientific- oh wait. There's nothing scientific about this.

May not be scientific, but it works for me.

What if a guy isn't a crass materialist? What if he can't afford new shoes but has an amazing personality? I guess it is all materialism, after all..

Oh wait, I also wear sandals and the "unidentifiable shoes" regularly. Guess I'm #10.

That article is not only massively misandrist ("he's shoes are busted, he must be behind on child support" wtf?) but it's also just based on stereotyping nonsense.

Those "unidentifiable shoes" are actually Doc Martens... Often worn by skinheads and punk rockers, this article said this shoe is worn by college professors. derp derp.

Cost is just part of the equation - it's also about the way they are looked after.

A pair of old shoes which are clean is fine. It shows that a guy can take care of things which he likes and make them last. I can't see that this is a bad trait at all.

Compare that to a man who buys expensive shoes but doesn't take care of them. It shows a lack of appreciation. Give me the guy in old shoes anyday

Oh for heaven's sake. Do you want me to come up with a link to what a woman's shoes say about her just to make it even? You'll find plenty of those blogs out there too. And what does a Kardashian style bandage dress say about it's owner? The word "easy" comes to mind....

Goodness, I haven't seen punk rockers and skin heads since the 80's. Around me, Docs are worn by academics, Indies and greenies. My 14yo daughter wears them.
