asking out

Here is my story. There is a guy that I've been seeing for a while. A couple of months ago, he told me he liked me. He is a very busy guy, so we don't see eachother a lot, which makes it seem like he is not interested sometimes. But then when we do hang out, he seems pretty into me. So, I think I might just ask him out...who thinks it's a good idea? I'm going to follow what I think is the right idea, I'm just curious as to what other people here think. Thanks.
