The girl I like is making me so confused. Please Help.

I asked a girl who knows the girl I like (who offered) to find out who the girl I like likes. This girl came back to me and told me that she likes someone else. I then told her to tell the girl I like that I like her.

The day after I asked her to tell the girl I like that I like her, a guy in the class which the girl I like is also in asked me if I like the girl I like. I said yes and the full lesson in class, the girl I like smiled at me.

The day after, the girl I had first asked about finding out who the girl I like likes told me that the girl I like is going out with the guy she likes. Yet she still shows me signs of liking me.

The girl I like seems to hover around me a lot.

She smiled at me even after (a few days) she found out I like her.

I've noticed her stare/look at me along with her friends.

Please help. I'm not sure what to do.

Does she actually like me back?
Is the girl I asked to find out about the girl I like lying?
