At this point true, but it's slowly going more and more mainstream. Groups like My Chemical Romance, The Used, Story Of The Year, etc are all hitting mtv audiences and just gaining popularity.

...and as winter ends and spring turns to summer...so will the change in music.
The only mature way to use power, is to use it to serve those that are powerless.

Love is an art; some paintings can be dark, some can be light- but all are beautiful.

tiger... it can be a small fad. everything begins small then if it's interesting, it will grow into something to be remembered.

innova.. it may or may not last too. trance and house also was played on mtv but you rarely hear about it now.

Yes, but unlike trance...emo spawned from Punk/Pop punk..so it has a better chance of surviving. Although believe me when I say, I know exactly what you mean.

i still don't know what emo is ... and i don't really care ... i just know it seems like they all have black hair ... and light skin ... am i trippin'??

ahhh well ... i dont usually talk music here because i'm a rap/hip-hop fan and it seems that forum dwellers hate it ... but i ain't gonna piss and moan at people who don't agree with my musical taste ... we'll just agree on how we like to be spanked or some shit! hahaha

i will agree with shorty on this one. i probably have never heard emo music and being that it's along the lines of punk rock, i probably will never get into it. however the people who listen to emo, i think they sorta dress gothic, but a bit easier on the eyes.

Yes and no, it's far from the dark metal gothic.

Well here's an easy way to put it. Mix gothic and skater..you got emo pretty much. Skater chicks are 0o0oo0 so hot!! That's me though lol...
