Okay so just to close this out.

I came here because of the "nice guy" comment, and the connotations therein. I was really afraid that my feelings for this fine lady were not being matched on her side.

It seems like she was not aware of the overtones, because since then she accepted my invitation to a lunch, (I was talking to her and said, "Okay, so we are going to go an have a *real* lunch together this week right?") and she was "oh, yeah, of course". And after that, tonight, she invited me at the last minute to another family event. Unfortunately it was at the last, last minute so I could not go, but I took the opportunity to invite her to my ranch on Saturday for a hike and lunch and she jumped on it, and then texted me hours later saying that she was "excited" about our hike on Saturday, so seems like we are well on the way to discovering more about each other.

I am so happy. So thank you Smackie for calming me down.
