Would you do this to a guy friend or to a guy you want as a boyfriend?

Over the last few weeks I made friends with this girl at work. We immediately hit it since we both discovered our mutual passion for music and since our conversations are getting diverse I think we have become good friends over time. She is quite outgoing and friendly with everyone and have always considered any sign of interest as just her being herself especially when it has something to do with music knowing how passionate she is about it.

Last weekend, we were at a company party and somewhere near the end (when everyone had a few drinks already) a few co-workers where teasing her on how much of a cute couple she would make with this other guy. She was dismissing the idea calling it crazy and nuts. I followed the argument quietly at the side, then at one point she looked at me gave me a wink and a smile and continued arguing with the rest.

So my question (to the girls especially) is, would you do this to a guy you really want to be your boyfriend or you would do it to any guy you happen to be a good friend with?

First off, it's another workplace situation.
How would it impact if you two were more than just friends ?

Have you even dated her ? Or you two exclusive ?
If you think she means more to you, then make a move and stop waiting.
For me, it puts so much pressure for it to work, so it doesn't seen awkward when you two aren't together anymore and jealously plays a big role and the distractions reduces productivity.

When you go to a job, your there to be an asset and not try to make relationships.
Having that space is sometimes helpful sustaining longevity, so you have some freedom.

You're over thinking it. She was drinking and mucking around....it could mean something or nothing. If you're interested, ask her out and then you'll find out how she feels about you.

But I also caution you to beware of the whole workplace thing. If things get really awkward, are you prepared to find a new job?
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.
