Story: A few months ago I started my new job. One of the girls was cute so I tried to introduce myself with a plan of chatting her up a bit. I don't remember the exact reaction. I just remember it was void of trying to make any connection back. I thought maybe she was shy and reserved but when the other guy who was starting that day arrived she warmly greeted him.
It bothered me a bit but, thought it is what it is. We preceeded to have a very platonic business like work relationship. I would say good morning, and ask for things I legitimatly needed. Nothing more.
After about a month one day, she asks me if I was going to lunch and she wanted to walk with me. She said she wanted to talk more with me because she needed to improve her english. I was like, "Okay that's fine." She was ahead of me in the lunch line. By the time I had my food she had put her trey down on a table and was getting a drink. I walked to the very back table so I could watch ESPN. She moves her trey all the way back to where I'm sitting and asks me why I'm sitting there instead of where she was. I told her I always sit there. She then starts asking me for advice on an interview she had coming up. I think this was probably just a legitimate favor that she needed as I am the only native english speaker in my department.
After this we are marginally more friendly with each other over the next 6 weeks as she recieves the transfer to a neighboring department. Still not saying much to each other than basic niceties.
Within the last week she pulls a 180 out of nowhere. Flirting with me every day. Touching me. Giving complaments. I don't get what has changed. I left nothing out of this story. I keep trying to think of some possible cause. Do girls just change their minds about someone they didn't like before?
