Its called denial and men and women go through this after a breakup. The whole "maybe they'l change there mind, maybe we should be friends so theyl fall back in love with me, maybe if I make it seem like I am over it, they will realize they have made a mistake.." only to then break down and call or text them in a week..

Weve seen this a million times, its nothing new, its all part of the grief. People cling on coz there not ready to face the facts so they reach out in desperation only to feel humiliated after..

OP your not alone and its totally normal but believe us no matter how much you want to contact him, DONT DO IT!! Accept its over. Hes had these feelings before.. that just means he doesnt know the difference between infatuation and love-maybe one day he will but you have just had a lucky escape. He doesnt have what it takes to survive long term but theres someone better out there for you who does.
