The number is important. Just as you can say that you can judge a person by the company they keep, you can also judge a person by the company they kept. Reputation is a key indicator of a person in society. Really she should have kept her number a secret or she should have told u the truth and follow it up with an explanation or account at least. Letting your mind wander is just irresponsible on her behalf.

OK. Ive been in your position before. What makes you most uncomfortable isn't the number as much as the question of why your gf doesn't think its a big deal if you do.

In a perfect situation your gf would sit down with you, comfort and reassure you that its no biggie and say she was just young and foolish etc.

Well, if you think she is the most amazing girl and you really want to be with her, you could think about being her 8th and last The past is the past, the girl does not deserve to be persecuted and annoyed for the fact that you are making an issue out of it. Either forgive her & forget it, or leave her; but don't stay with her if you're just gonna bring this up every other day... that's just sad and painful for her and for you.

Why do you think people date in high school? so they get some experience and it becomes to find someone during university or after it and you rarely stay with the girl you met in your teens, it's a transitional period, and if you can't accept the past, to move on, then I doubt your ready for her, or anyone that comes your way.
Women have needs and can get it a lot easier then men, as some of us have to work for it, but once that special person comes along, the wait was worth it.
